W0WAA0Z KJ5T From Steve (KJ5T). I had a blast as part of the W0W team for MOQP! My first time operating the W 0ECC station remotely was a great experience. This was my first time using the Flex remotely and I was ve ry impressed with the capabilities paired with the work AA0Z did for station automation. With full statio n control it felt like I was right at the station. My favorite part was the adrenaline of chasing mobile stations through the Missouri counties, and a big thanks to the mobiles who went out braving the element s and making the event exciting. This was also my first time operating with AA0Z and I think we made a gr eat team. I learned a lot about remote operating during the event and look forward to future events with Kyle and the ELayer Contest Crew! 73 de KJ5T

From Kyle (AA0Z). Saturday started off with a bang!!! 40M was in great condition, 20m was strong to the east coast and then around 11am, 20m started to fall apart, but hearing MO stations on 40M was still going strong. Saturday thunderstorms started to hit northwest MO and that kept some stations from operating bu t I saw some posts from mobiles braving the storms! We pushed through the static crashes and with a few b reaks during the day we ended the day with 133 mults and 149K in points. AK called me on SSB, NE found Ste ve on CW and I make a QSO with some guy doing straight key from HI for 3 big mults. We only had SD and Ca nadian providences left outside of MO going into Sunday. We chased most of the mobiles around but we miss ed a whole line of N0E counties (HLT, AND, DEK, CWL, REY, CRL, COP and MNT). We made up for a few of thos e counties on Sunday but once they are gone, they're gone! GA/ND/NM QSO parties were also on the air and by looking at the waterfall, you'd think it was Sunday at 2am. Bands were just horrible with really no ac tivity seen from the station.

Sunday had it's own challenges. The Raspberry Pi that runs the stations VPN decided to give us fits twice . Once for about 30 mins in the morning and then again in the afternoon for about 70 mins. Rain was fall ing all around MO and we dodged a few storms at the station. Again 20M was no good. GA was weak. ND was non-existent. NM had a few stations calling. Both Saturday and Sunday I just could not get a good pile up going on SSB. I switched over to my 24wpm CW around noon on Sunday to keep from falling asleep. We gr ouped together made a plan, contacted the mobiles on Sunday morning and I think we got every single mobile in every county they were activating.

Glad to be a partner to Steve (KJ5T) and we put a dent in the QSO count. He's welcome to contest with us at anytime! It was a fun weekend and looking forward to next year.
